Melbourne based triathlete Levi Hauwert is pushing his own limits in pursuit of racing at Kona.
What’s your ultimate finish line (goal)?
All drive towards Kona as a professional athlete.
What are you most proud of?
My debut Ironman at 8:43.
Who is to thank/blame for introducing you to your sport? Tell us your history to how it all began, how you got to where you are now.
My father was a marathon runner and took me running very early on. A good family friend was a professional cyclist and taught me to ride. I just wish I had someone that introduced me to swimming earlier.
What words of advise would you pass on to a rookie entering your sport event? What would you tell a younger you about to set out on this journey?
Be consistent and slow down! Not every session has to be a killer.
If you could invite any 3 people (dead or alive) to a dinner party, who would they be and why?
Steve Prefontaine, Jan Frodeno & Eliud Kipchoge. All GOATS that have amazing stories to tell and can learn so much from them all.
What is your favourite 2XU product and why? How does this help you prepare, perform, recover and repeat?
I love running in the MCS compression run short/tri short. Comfortable, supportive and I definitely pull up better the next day after wearing them.
